On May 15th, the Trail in Jilin Province for the 7th National Undergraduate Engineering Training Integration Ability Competition, initiated by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education (MOE) and organized by the Engineering Training and Teaching Advisory Board of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, was officially launched at Changchun Sci-Tech University. 24 representative teams selected in Our University  participated in the competition, and won five special prizes, 11 first prizes, six second prizes and two third prizes after a fierce competition of two days.

More than 290 teams from 25 universities participated in this year’s competition, with nearly 1,800 players participating, and the number of participating schools and teams reached a record high. Our students are mainly from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the Transportation College, the College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, the College of Communication Engineering and the College of Construction Engineering. The Engineering Training Center of our university is responsible for providing technical guidance and processing service.

Among them, the “Intelligent Delivery Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” project done by   students from the Lingyun Dream Factory guided by Fan Zunqiang and Wang Lihui was selected for the national competition as the first place in Jilin Province. The “Engineering Scene Digitalization” project done by  students from the Mechanical Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center  guided by Liu Jiming and Liu Jintong, and the “Underwater Pipeline Intelligent Inspection” project done by  students from the Robot Space, Engineer Dream Factory, Engineering Training Center of Jilin University supervised by Chen Yu and Yang Yang won the second place in Jilin Province.

In this competition, the participants of our school fully reveal our distinctive characteristics and high-level performance. Their excellent results are not only a comprehensive demonstration of our school’s engineering training ability, but also a test of the practical teaching level of the engineering training center. Facing new globalization challenges and sustainable development goals, the Engineering Training Center will continue to uphold the spirit of “Rising from Modesty and Diligence, Striving for Excellence and Eminence”, emphasize cultivating students’ innovative spirit and innovation ability, lay a more solid foundation for cultivating the reserve force of engineers in the new era, and make unremitting efforts to build a higher engineering education system with Chinese characteristics under the guidance of the national development strategy of innovation-driven and manufacturing power.
