We have 1 national teaching base for basic mechanical courses, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration center for basic mechanical courses, 1 national engineering practical education center, 1 national virtual simulation experimental teaching center for mechanical courses and 1 joint training demonstration base for postgraduates majoring in engineering.

We have 11 provincial science and technology innovation platforms, 1 national quality inspection center and 1 national accredited laboratory. The Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing, the Institute of Aerospace Engineering and the Institute of Jilin University (Chongqing) are under construction. The State Key Laboratory of Automobile Simulation and Control and the National Local Joint Engineering Laboratory of Engineering Bionics have been built.
