Since this week, SMAE’s Prof. Huang Hu has been employed as the Associate Editor ofIEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics.
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronicsis one of the top journals under IEEE (IF: 8.162, among the first ranking in the broad category of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and JLU’s C-journal), covering power electronics and drive control technology, system control and signal processing, fault detection and diagnosis, power system, instrumentation, measurement and testing, modeling and simulation, motion control, mechatronics, robotics, sensors and actuators, and the application of artificial intelligence in industrial power systems.
Prof. Huang Hu is a leading professor in charge of comprehensive management with the title of “Tang Aoqing Distinguished Professor” at JLU, and the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of CNC Equipment Reliability, Ministry of Education. He has also been selected as a member of the “Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program” by the China Association for Science and Technology and the National High-level Talents Youth Project. He has long been engaged in interdisciplinary research in precision machinery and instruments, surface modification and functionalization of materials, surface micro-mechanical properties testing, etc. Besides, he has published 84 SCI papers as the first and corresponding author inIEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics,Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing,Precision Engineering,Journal of Manufacturing Processes,Surface and Coatings Technology,Materials Science and Engineering A,Scripta Materialiaand other journals, of which two are research highlights, two are IOPselect and one is highly cited by ESI. He won two first prizes for provincial technological inventions (ranking 3rd), and won the Bronze Award of Hiwin Excellent Mechanical Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, the Outstanding Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan, the Excellence Award of Changbai Youth Science and Technology Award, and the 2022 Nomination of Young Scientists Contributing to China’s Development.
Prof. Huang Hu’s appointment as the associate editor will play a positive role in enhancing the international influence of related disciplines in SMAE.
