On September 7th, the 2021 International Conference on the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and Application (Changchun) was officially opened in Changchun online and offline under the guidance of the Ministry of Education of China and the People’s Government of Jilin Province. The conference was hosted by National Center for Schooling Development programme, and jointly organized by Jilin University, the Education Department of Jilin Province, Northeast Normal University, Changchun University of Science and Technology, Jilin Agricultural University and Changchun University of Technology. With the theme of “Facing the Future: Integrative Research and Education”, more than 360 academicians, presidents, experts and scholars from universities, enterprises and research institutes from 18 countries attended the opening ceremony, and more than 1,000 teachers and students from over 60 universities watched the live broadcast. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Xi, President of Jilin University.
Tian Xuejun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Dmitry Vladimirovich Afanasyev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, An Lijia, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Jilin Province attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, and Sergei Ivanovich Pirozhkov, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, delivered a video speech. Jiang Zhiying, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jilin University, Li Yuanyuan, President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Guo Dongming, President of Dalian University of Technology, Han Jiecai, President of Harbin Institute of Technology, Feng Xiating, President of Northeastern University, and other representatives of Chinese universities attended the opening ceremony. Other attendees included comrades, experts, and scholars from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, the Secretariat of the China Scholarship Council, National Center for Schooling Development programme, Jilin Provincial Government, relevant departments of the province, universities and enterprises in China, as well as teachers and students from Chinese universities.
The main forum was chaired by Zhao Hongwei, Vice President of Jilin University. Ren Luquan, professor of Jilin University, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and executive vice president of the International Society of Bionic Engineering, Boris Vladimirovich Gusev, President of the Russian Academy of Engineering and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Wang Chunsheng, deputy chief engineer of CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. and scientist of CRRC, gave keynote speeches respectively.
On the afternoon of September 8th, the sub-forum “High-end Equipment Manufacturing and Aerospace Technology” hosted by the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Jilin University was held online, attracting more than 300 teachers and students from domestic and foreign universities. The sub-forum was chaired by Professor Wang Dongfang from the Micro Engineering and Micro Systems Laboratory.
The sub-forum invited experts from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Russia, Samara State Aerospace University in Russia, Tashkent State Technical University in Uzbekistan, Shanghai University and Jilin University to give conference reports. Their reports focus on high-end equipment manufacturing, covering aircraft engine manufacturing technology, aircraft structure design, International Space Station technology, astronaut human factors engineering, UAV manufacturing and other topics. Experts shared the latest research results, conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the development direction, core technology research and development, and process realization in their fields, and interacted with teachers and students online.
This sub-forum serves as an academic exchange platform for scholars at home and abroad, and broadens the channels for further international cooperation and talent training in the field of high-end equipment manufacturing and aerospace technology. It is conducive to jointly promoting the progress and development of new technologies in this field.
